The mission of the 2nd Century Alliance is to develop and execute a strategy to build the City of Coatesville’s capacity to improve current conditions, stabilize the socio-economic stature of the City, foster economic development, and bring resources and community partners together for these purposes.
The Chester County Planning Commission has released Landscapes3, a comprehensive county plan with a vision for Chester County that focuses on place, choice, and community. Study
The Route 30 Multimodal Transportation Study is a coordinated land use and transportation plan for the Route 30 corridor in Western Chester County. The project was supported by funding from the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, Chester County, six sponsor municipalities, and other project partners.

Chester County Economic Development Council
The Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC) is a private, non-governmental entity that promotes a competitive edge for existing and new businesses by providing proven financial solutions; cultivating workforce talent; leveraging business partnerships; and fostering entrepreneurial collaboration for more than 50 years.
Chester County Department of Community Development
DCD provides federal funding and technical assistance for community development efforts including neighborhood revitalization, acquisition, construction, and/or rehabilitation of community buildings and public works activities such as water main installation, street and curb repairs, or streetscape improvements.
Guidelines for Urban Center Revitalization
The Urban Center Revitalization Plan (UCRP) is a planning tool that is used exclusively by Chester County’s urban centers (the 15 Boroughs and City of Coatesville) for promotion and assistance with future economic growth, redevelopment and reinvestment opportunities in the community.
